Whole Foods Market 5% day benefiting local organization

Create A Change Now

Local top and celebrity executive chefs will be seen hosting free live cooking demonstrations at Whole Foods Market to raise awareness and funds for Create a Change Now.

LAS VEGAS – Take lessons from a chef while giving back!. Whole Foods Market Las Vegas has selected Create A Change Now (CACN ) as the sole beneficiary to receive 5% of the total net sales for their community of giving day on January 11th. CACN Chefs from their “Chefs in Schools” program will also host a two-hour live cooking demonstration on this day for shoppers at each of the four Whole Foods Market locations in Las Vegas. Among the list of Create A Change Now chefs are Johnny Church from Aureole, Will Staten from Masterchef Season 7, and many more.

Create A Change Now is a local organization providing gardens for tier one schools, a professional farmer to teach and assist the kids about the garden, and provides many programs such as Chefs in Schools; local chefs from top restaurants in Las Vegas visit a school to host cooking demonstrations using the produce grown in their very own garden.

“The garden/chef program that Create a Change Now has made possible at J.T. McWilliams Elementary School is without exception the most incredible experience I have participated in during my 23 years in education,” said J.T. Elementary School Principal, Mr. R. Cheung.

5% days hosted by Whole Foods Market only happen a couple of times of the year. All four Las Vegas locations will participate and donate to Create a Change Now.

Create A Change Now will be on-site to share the vision, mission, and opportunities to become a donor, volunteer, and supporter.

Here is a chance to meet a local celebrity chef to get exclusive healthy cooking tips.
