LAS VEGAS, NEVADA (March, 12, 2018) – It’s time to Celebrate! The 4th annual Celebrando festival is back to celebrate the Hispanic culture on Saturday, April 28th at the Sammy Davis Jr. Festival Plaza inside Lorenzi Park. The event is free and invites the community to celebrate through food, music, community, and giving back.
The family-friendly event will feature a variety of cultural food spanning from traditional Mexican dishes, Peruvian cuisine, Puerto Rican favorites, and more; live entertainment including mariachi, folk dancing, local singers, and dancers, plus cultural vendors, art, and crafts.
To spice things up vendors will compete in the back by popular demand Elote Throwdown (street corn) challenge. Attendees will get the chance to try the variety of Elotes for FREE to vote for their favorite. This one-hour throwdown will be from 5p to 6p and the winning elote will receive an award and bragging rights.
The Las Vegas Lights is bringing what they know best “soccer” to give attendees the opportunity to play against a Las Vegas Lights Goalie for the chance to win prizes if they can make a Gooooallll!! Each play to win is $2; prizes include tickets to upcoming games, jersey, fun swag items and more; proceeds raised benefits local charity Nevada PEP.
“Celebrando is the largest Hispanic festival in Southern Nevada that gives back to local nonprofits and community programs. Our event gives them a voice throughout the festival that is already dedicated to Celebrating culture and community,” said Angel Escamilla, Co-founder of the Celebrando festival.
Celebrando is set for 2 p.m.- 8 pm., Saturday, April 28, 2018, at The Sammy Davis Jr. Festival Plaza inside Lorenzi Park located at 2021 W. Sunset, Henderson, NV. This is a free family event.
